By becoming a member of the BDA you gain access to the support of our Trade Union which are there to give advice and assistance if things go wrong at work. Furthermore you become part of a nation wide network of trade unionists who are actively campaigning for the defence of dietetic services, the NHS, and workers' rights.
If you want to have your say on NHS Pay then the BDA trade union is the place where your vote counts. The BDA is part of a number of unions who help negotiate pay for workers on Agenda for Change pay and conditions but it is only the BDA which is solely dedicated to the interests of those that work in dietetics.
You may even want to become a trade union rep yourself. Becoming a BDA Trade Union Representative can enhance your training and professional development as well as affording you the opportunity to put yourself forward for a number of Trades Union Congress (TUC) conferences where you can network with other trade union representatives in healthcare and beyond.
