Do I have to be a member to join the sub-group meetings?
Yes! Our CPD sub-group meetings are exclusively a members only benefit for dietitians only. Unless you are non-member invited to present by the committee you will not be able to join our sub-group meetings without a paid membership. The joining link must not be forwarded to non-members without prior approval under any circumstances.
Are sub-group meetings free?
Yes! As long as you have a sub-group annual membership, the meetings are free and offered to you as a membership benefit.
How do the sub-group meetings invite work?
ARFID sub-group meetings run every 2 months and occur on a Thursday at 1-2:30pm. They utilise the Microsoft Teams platform. Meeting details are sent out to members approximately 2 weeks before the meeting date with our confirmed agenda. We also share an announcement on our webpage. You will receive your joining email directly from the BDA as the subgroup do not hold any membership lists. The email will contain a joining link, but it does not include a diary invite. Members will have to manually add the meeting to their own outlook calendars and select the joining link to join at the time of the meeting.
What are the 2025 meeting dates?
The provisional 2025 ARFID sub-group meeting dates are:
These are all scheduled for 1-2:30pm. Whilst we endeavour to stick to this plan, all meetings are delivered by dedicated volunteers and as such, dates and times may be subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances.
I'm a member but I'm not receiving emails and meeting invites, what do I do?
As we don't hold membership lists, we are unable to rectify this for you. Please contact the BDA directly.
How do the sub-group meetings run?
We follow a meeting agenda, hosted by our chair, and usually include 1 or 2 CPD topics each month. Members are welcome to suggest topics or bring case studies / development to share on this platform. The meetings are recorded and uploaded as a closed link on YouTube. Following the meeting, an email is circulated with any details and resources shared. There is often a delay in uploading the recording and this follows as soon as possible.
