What is an abstract?

An abstract for a poster submission to a conference is a brief summary that describes the research or project you plan to present on the poster. It serves as a snapshot of the study's objectives, methods, main findings, and conclusions. This type of abstract is typically 250–500 words and highlights the key aspects that will be visually represented on the poster.

What is a conference poster?

A conference poster is a visual presentation of research findings, project results, or innovative ideas displayed on a large, printed or digital board at academic or professional conferences. It uses text, charts, graphs, images, and infographics to convey key information concisely. Conference posters are designed to attract the attention of attendees, provide a quick overview of the work, and facilitate one-on-one or small-group discussions between the presenter and interested viewers. Posters often follow a structured format, including sections like the title, introduction, methodology, results, and conclusions, allowing viewers to quickly understand the research and engage with the presenter for more in-depth discussion.
