Thank you for joining the British Dietetic Association Critical Care Specialist Group (CCSG). The group was formed in 2012 and our aim is to provide a forum for dietitians working in critical care, to share information, ideas and best practice. We produce a regular newsletter up to keep members updated on the group’s activities, share new topical information or feedback from study days. We host a yearly study day, each with it's own theme, with experts from around the world. You can find the previous newsletters from the CCSG and information about our previous study days on the website.
Our resources section of the website has a large range of resources for critical care dietitians including links to seminal papers, previous webinars and podcasts, example protocols provided by group members. There is also information on forthcoming conferences, study days, webinars. There are links to useful resources for critical care dietitians working with COVID 19 patients and to the ICU steps pages where you can find great information about post ICU care.
The CCSG has developed the outcomes tool to help dietitians anaylse if nutritionally goals are being met on ICU and there are links to both the tool and videos on how to use it.
As part of your membership you will have access to our interactive discussion forum (Basecamp) where you have access to 'live' discussions with other Critical Care Specialist Group members, as well as posting any questions or comments for others to respond to. Your CCSG membership also includes access to the dedicated NJT discussion forum on Basecamp, and if you wish to join the Trauma Sub-Group you will have access to the Trauma Basecamp also. See tab below for details on how to join Basecamp.
If you would like to get more involved in the CCSG, would like to produce content for the website, or have any ideas for us please contact the committee on [email protected].
Basecamp access can be arranged by emailing [email protected] with your name and email address. Please state whether in addition to the general CCSG Basecamp you also wish to access the dedicated NJT Basecamp. If alongside your CCSG Basecamp membership you wish to become a member of the Trauma Subgroup and their separate Basecamp, please stipulate this when emailing to request and these additions can be added to your profile.
In requesting Basecamp access in this way, we will accept this as your consent to share your name and email address with Basecamp. This is the only information we will share with Basecamp although you will have the ability to share more of your personal information if you wish to do so when you configure your account. If at any time you do not wish to be part of the Basecamp forums you can log into your Basecamp account and delete your profile or alternatively you can email [email protected] to request your profile is deleted.
