Meghan Bentley
I am a practitioner registrant of the Sport and Exercise Nutrition register.
I have over 8 years of experience working as a sports and exercise nutritionists. Including, experience working in elite sport, teaching, and research.
I work with athletes at an international level across a range of ages to optimise their health and performance. I specialise in strength and power sports, weight making sports, and para athletes, including spinal cord injury, short stature, and limb deficiency and amputation. I also have experience working with female athletes and have a passion for athlete wellbeing.
I have extensive experience of using behaviour change skills and motivational interviewing to help athletes meet their goals. Specifically, I completed my PhD in partnership with Leeds Beckett University and the English Institute of Sport. My PhD used behavioural science to understand the dietary behaviour of elite athletes in order to advance the professional practice of sports nutritionists.
On a personnel level, I have a strong interest in endurance sports. I have competed a half Iron man and run half marathon’s and marathons as part of my personal training goals.
