Hello, my name is Anna-Maria,
I am a registered sports nutritionist (SENr, INDI) and sports scientist. I have worked with a variety of young and competitive athletes e.g. swimmers, artistic swimmers, football and basketball players, marathon runners, and cyclists. From a very young age I realized the importance of nutrition, physiology, exercise and psychology, and how these principles can affect a person’s life and an athlete’s performance.
I was immersed in the Mediterranean way of living since a very young age, as I grew up in the beautiful island of Greece, Crete. All these, led me to my decision to study both sports nutrition (Oxford Brookes University) and physical education and sports science (National and Kapodistrian University of Greece). I believe that every individual deserves to start and sustain a healthier and more active lifestyle. Education is what is needed, so that everyone can change his/her habits for the better.
I work with individuals by introducing to them the benefits of healthy eating, healthy cooking, hydration, sports nutrition, choosing right meal options for before, during and after training/competition, and by showing people the benefits each type of exercise can offer to their body. I can help you create vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, gluten-free, and high-in-protein balanced meal plans, as well as Mediterranean diet-based menus.
I have also worked for over 4 years now in the food industry, analyzing a variety of different and very complicated recipes. Thus, teaching you how to choose healthier meal options and how to read the food labels is an area I specialize in, too. I really want every person I work with to become the best version of him/herself and to achieve and master his/her vitality! Every individual is unique and this is how I approach every person I work with.
