This week, 13 – 17 November, is AHP Support Workers Awareness Week 2023, in which the BDA, along with a coalition of 13 other AHP professional bodies, want to further celebrate and recognise our support staff.
As a collective, we are united in our aim to advocate for the AHP support workforce, ensuring their growth and development, that their vital contribution to the workforce is recognised, that their skills are being utilised and maximised safely and effectively, and to ensure equitable access to consistent and sustainable funding for education and professional development opportunities.
Back in May, the BDA held its own Dietetic Support Workforce Celebration Day, recognising and celebrating the vital contribution of our support staff. During the awareness week, we will be looking back at the fantastic engagement from our celebration day, whilst continuing to highlight and share the resources available to our associate members.
