We are once again disappointed by the focus of this government on restricting those willing to work in the National Health Service rather than investment and support for the health service as a whole.

In response to the article, members of the BDA's Mental Health Specialist Group wrote to the Editor of The Times to highlight the troubles faced across all eating disorder services. 

The BDA has joined forces with other leading NHS unions to urge ministers to act now with a significant wage boost to address the growing NHS staffing crisis.

This unnecessary proposal is totally unacceptable to the BDA and the other Agenda for Change unions.

We are currently balloting respective BDA members on the recent announcement on Pay for NHS staff in England and NHS Staff in Wales.

The BDA is to begin consulting members in NHS Scotland on a pay offer of 5%.
