Article title: 6-8 words
Intro para: 2 sentences which summarise what the article is about and what people will find out – for example: With the ever-growing list of diets advertised, are there any that actually help to improve overall health and wellbeing? Registered Dietitian Reema Patel looks at some of the most popular diet trends for 2022.
Main body: 500-700 words
Style: Technical articles may be appropriate for the BDA website but authors are asked to consider that the public may also view articles so please provide definitions of any technical language used and explain acronyms or dietetic jargon. Please use section sub title headers to divide sections and provide URLs to any links in the article – we ask that authors prioritise existing BDA content for web links but if external links are necessary they should be to bone fide sources such as NICE, NHS Choices or leading patient charity sites where a dietitian has been involved in the content development or review.
Keywords: It may seem obvious but for your article to be easily found it needs to include the key words people will use to search for such content – for example if your topic was keto diets, you would need to include key words such as ketogenic, keto, very low carbohydrate, high fat diet, weight loss, insulin sensitivity in the text and headings of your article. If you would like to provide these separately for us to use as tags, please do so, but our communications and website team will identify them from your submission.
