Outstanding Achiever of the Year

This award is to recognise one person who has created significant impact in the profession throughout their career and has been working in the profession for ten years or more.

Applications and nominations for 2025 are open until Monday 7 April at Noon. The 2025 awards will be presented on Wednesday 4 June in Birmingham.

Entry Criteria

This award is open for applications and nominations. To apply for the Outstanding Achiever Award you must:

  • Be a member of the British Dietetic Association
  • Have been working in the profession for ten years or more

2023 Winner - Lauren Bowen, Head of Patient Food Service, ISS and Chair of BDA Food Services Specialist Group 
 

Lauren Bowen is a dedicated colleague who has made a huge impact on the profile and role of food service dietitians both within the BDA with her role on the Food Services Specialist Group but also educating other dietitians on the specialism and being involved in a number of major influential projects over the past two decades.
