Rachel Griffin
Rachel is a registered dietitian specialising in bariatric surgery, weight management & Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). She is co-owner of Peninsula Dietitians, an online service offering nutritional guidance and support. She has several years of experience in supporting individuals to optimise their nutrition, work towards a healthy weight and improve symptom management.
She offers guidance and advice regarding eating techniques, meeting protein requirements, interpretation of nutritional blood tests and correction of nutritional deficiencies. She is experienced in managing complications that can occur after surgery such as dumping syndrome, reactive hypoglycaemia, vomiting / regurgitation, weight regain, reflux and food intolerances.
Rachel has a keen interest in the psychology of eating and enjoys supporting people to make realistic and sustainable dietary and lifestyle changes to help them achieve better health.
She has experience with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and gut health having completed a BDA course in FODMAPs allowing her to support people with a sensitive gut to improve their symptoms through first line advice and / or exploring a low FODMAP diet if indicated.
She works as a Freelance Dietitian outside of her NHS role and would like to support anyone who is looking for help in improving their nutrition and well-being, whether that's after bariatric (weight loss) surgery, for weight management or IBS advice.
