Lisa Waddell
Lisa Waddell is Director of her private business; Food Allergy Nottingham Service Ltd (FANS) and also works part time for the NHS as lead community paediatric dietitian. She is an expert in paediatric food allergy and has over 21 years’ experience helping families identify whether their infant/ young child is suffering from food allergy or other feeding related problem. She has been involved in numerous working groups such as the NICE food allergy guidelines and RCPCH food allergy care pathway working groups, an expert advisor for NICE and has been a member of the BSACI Primary Care group committee since its inception. Much of her private work involves lecturing, which includes being a member of the RCPCH paediatric allergy training faculty and lead facilitator on the BDA cow’s milk allergy accredited course. She has also been involved in research, being part of the NIHR TEST (Trial of eczema allergy screening tests) feasibility trial, undertakes peer review, supports the Allergy UK patient helpline and BDA food allergy specialist group development of numerous allergy free dietary publications.
