Joanna Tsintaris

Joanna is a HCPC registered Dietitian and a Biomedical Science graduate with a first-class MSc in Nutrition and Dietetics. She has a strong scientific background and a passion for evidence-based research and practice. She has experience working as a Dietitian for the weight management and Type 2 diabetes prevention service at the NHS and private sector in digital health.
Joanna inspires and empowers her clients to make positive lifestyle changes to manage their weight and health conditions such as pre-diabetes, Type 2 Diabetes, PCOS, dyslipidaemia, fatty liver disease, hypertension, underactive thyroidism etc. She also has clinical experience supporting clients to build a healthier relationship with food to manage emotional eating & disordered eating. She offers compassionate and person-centred care which challenges weight stigma and rejects diet culture.
Joanna takes pride in practising with a holistic outlook, focusing on nutrition as well as movement, sleep cycles and stress management to support her clients in living their healthiest and happiest lives.
She is half Scottish half Greek, and before she moved to Scotland she was raised on a Greek island called Crete which makes her familiar with the Cretan Mediterranean diet which has been shown to be probably the most representative of all Mediterranean diets for heart health. So if this is an eating pattern you would like to adopt she can also help!
