Hello, my name is Jeanette Starkey and I am passionate and committed to helping people with gastroenterology related conditions.  I am a Clinical Lead and Advanced Clinical Practitioner specialist gastroenterology dietitian which means I am able to assess my patients both medically and nutritionally to provide a  complete and in-depth holistic assessment.  I continually seek to improve my knowledge and skills to always be able to provide the best support for my patients; I have qualified as a supplementary prescriber and completed my Advanced Clinical Assessment and Diagnostics training at Master's Level.  My depth of knowledge and clinical management experience means I am able to support my gastroenterology consultant colleagues in the assessment and management of patients with gastroenterology symptoms.  

My areas of research and expertise focus on irritable bowel syndrome, gut health, functional dyspepsia, reflux disease, small intestinal bacterial overgrowth, food allergies/intolerances and probiotics.  I also work closely with patients who have inflammatory bowel disease, coeliac disease and liver disease.

I set up Vie Nutrition to provide a unique service focusing on helping all my patients understand more about their condition and how to manage it with a focus on symptom improvement and longer term gut health. I am able to provide an in-depth assessment and fully understand the clinical, social and nutritional factors which affect bowel function and gut health. This enables us to focus on the key factors impacting on bowel health and thereby provide the right advice and dietary management. I can also undertake testing for SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth).

Vie Nutrition is based at the Nuffield Hospital in Chester but as we provide online assessments, I have supported thousands of patients locally, nationally and internationally to understand and improve their conditions and symptoms.  I would love to be able to help you with your symptoms.
