Hi I'm Izzy,
I have been a Registered Dietitian since 2014. I work in the NHS as a Diabetes Dietitian and was previously a Renal Dietitian working with patients with kidney disease. I also have experience of treating IBS including using the low FODMAP diet.
I now also work as a freelance dietitian seeing patients with diabetes and chronic kidney disease but also focusing on my passion which is sports nutrition. I have worked with clients looking at doing their first 10k right up to those training for an Ironman. I tailor the advice I give and how I provide it to the individual. I can provide a breakdown of the macros required on each of your training days or provide more general advice on when and what type of carbohydrates and protein should be eaten and if they need to be increased.
I am a keen runner and have also taken part in several triathlons. I have recently moved to Yorkshire, and I am very excited about getting out on the hills and trails. I also have experience of team sports as I used to regularly play netball and basketball.
I don't believe in quick fix diets and want to provide my clients with evidence-based knowledge and understanding so they can make long term lasting changes to their diet and get the best from their performance.
