Hazel Elliott
I am a fully committed and highly experienced Registered Dietitian with over 25 years of post-graduate experience working in NHS and private hospitals in both Edinburgh and Glasgow.
My particular area of interest is the treatment of Eating Disorders and disordered eating. I have worked in specialist in-patient units for the treatment of Eating Disorders for the past 15 years. I have worked with both adult and adolescent clients with Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, OSFED (other specified feeding or eating disorder), Binge Eating Disorder and ARFID (Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder).
I believe that education and behavioural change can improve the lives of those with an eating disorder and can ultimately lead to recovery. My compassion, skills and enthusiasm are key to working alongside clients to achieve their own goals.
Additionally, I have enjoyed working alongside clients to treat a wide range of complex difficulties such as weight management, diabetes, oncology, cardiology, renal, general surgery, respiratory and stroke. I am committed to providing a professional and patient centred service for all clients.
I am a full member of the British Dietetic Association (BDA), the Mental Health Group of the BDA, Accreditation Committee at the Royal College of Psychiatrists and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
