I have been a HCPC registered dietitian since 2012 and have worked in several clinical roles, providing me with a breadth of knowledge and experience in delivering nutritional care.
I endeavour to continuously learn and develop as a dietitian and have completed several courses and Masters's modules to support my practice. My areas of interest & expertise include management of IBS and gut related disorders and I have completed both the British Dietetic Association and King’s College London low FODMAP diet and IBS management courses. I also specialise inwomen's health and sports nutrition.
Sport has always been a significant part of my life and I am fortunate enough to also incorporate this into my professional work. Having completed the post graduate certification in sports and exercise nutrition, I am able to offer tailored nutritional support to athletes in a range of sports. My particular area of interest being endurance sport, additionally for those who may experience health conditions or gut issues alongside.
I believe in practicing with passion, care and empathy and seek to gain a deep understanding of the factors which underpin health, illness and nutrition. I seek to work collaboratively and with specialist knowledge and skills to help and empower people to achieve their goals and manage their conditions.
The areas I can help with include:
- Irritable Bowel Syndrome
- Gut related disorders including gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, functional dyspepsia, dysmotility and constipation
- Gut and bowel surgery
- Women’s health through the lifespan – including polycystic ovary syndrome, endometriosis and menopause
- Optimisation of nutrition for sports performance
In addition to individual consultations, I also deliver group sessions and have a keen interest in nutrition related health writing.
