A brief overview of the nutritional management of some of the patients who may be admitted to neuro critical care, including a case study based discussion of neurosurgical and neurological patient journeys.

Speaker - Suzy Marcetic, Specialist Dietitian - Neurosciences/Critical Care at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust.
Suzy graduated as a dietitian from the University of Hertfordshire and began working at a local district hospital, quickly moving into a stroke specialist role. She has mostly worked in a neuroscience capacity since then, including other acute stroke specialist roles, major trauma and for the past seven years as the neurosciences team lead dietitian at Queen's Hospital. They are a centre for neurosciences and she works on the neuro critical care unit and oversees the in-patient neurology, neurosurgery and stroke specialties. She has completed various postgraduate studies, most recently a PGDip in Gastroenterology and is currently working towards a full MSc.
