Webinar BDA Conversations

Does dietetics have a weight stigma challenge?

Join us for a one-hour webinar to explore weight stigma in dietetics

Weight stigma is pervasive within healthcare and negatively impacts on both access to care and the patient-practitioner relationship. To date there has been limited evidence about weight stigma among UK dietitians. However, in 2022, BDA members were included in a new survey to explore key themes.

This webinar will delve into a recently published study which includes the outputs of this survey. The study examines both explicit and implicit weight stigma in practising dietitians, as well as the lived experience of it among dietitians themselves and towards others.

Join us to hear from the authors of the paper, with a conversation led by the BDA’s Clinical Leader.
